There are many reasons why you might need an item collected from one address and delivered to your home and this is easy to arrange through our courier quote tool.
Step 1: Find out the weight and dimensions of the packaged item. If you’ve bought something on eBay or Gumtree, you’ll need to ask the seller to provide these. To avoid additional charges, it’s important these dimensions are accurate.
If it’s a private seller, it may be worth sending them our packaging guide to ensure your item is adequately protected during transit.
Step 2: Enter the weight and dimensions into our courier quote tool.
Step 3: You’ll see a list of discounted services available (see example below*). At this point, these results will include parcel drop-off services, so ensure you select a courier collection.
The courier collection services will display how many hours left to book. For example, ‘Book within 12 hours for collection tomorrow’.

Step 4: Book the service that best suits your needs. Enter the collection and delivery address and select a collection day. If you have chosen a next day delivery service, your item will be delivered the next working day after collection.
Step 5: Confirm the booking and follow the payment instructions.
When you select the service you want, the small red or green print icon will tell you whether you’ll need to provide the sender with a delivery label or not. Currently, if you book a Parcelforce, DX or Tuffnells collection, the driver will bring the label to the collection address. For all other services, please send the label to the sender for them to print out and attach.
Before you book a parcel collection, it’s important to make sure there will be someone at the collection address to hand over the item to the driver. Collections are generally made between 8 am and 6 pm, so if this is not convenient, you can book a parcel drop-off service with DPD or Parcelforce and the sender can drop off your item at their nearest Post Office or DPD Pickup shop.
