Parcelforce 48 Express Large is a two-day parcel delivery service specifically designed for sending large and heavy items in the UK.
It’s not suitable for palletised goods, but if you have a particularly large parcel (up to 2.25m in length) then Express 48 Large is the service for you.
Express 48 Large can accommodate individual items that weigh up to 30kg and your item can be as long as 2.25m and 4.5m length and girth combined.

Courier prices are calculated based on the weight and size of your parcel, so you should always expect to pay more to send a large parcel than a small one. It can be awkward to take a large parcel to the Post Office, which is why Parcelforce offer a collection service for large and heavy parcels.
Parcelforce will collect your large parcel from your home or office and deliver it within 2 working days. Collections are generally made between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm Monday to Friday.
When you send a parcel via Parcelforce Express 48 Large you’ll be able to track it every step of the way using our Parcelforce tracking tool or through the Parcelforce website using the tracking number from your shipping label.
Once your booking is complete, we'll email you a shipping label to print and attach to your parcel, so please ensure you have access to a printer before booking this service.

I have only received an advice after collection where there was hardly any details except a PWCC ref number. No proper receipt. No tracking number given so I don’t know whether recipient received it.
