Paid for Cover – Lost £500 Item, Offered Nothing I booked a delivery through Parcel Monkey, paid £35, and selected extra cover for loss or damage. The item—an electronic drum component worth £500—was accepted, insured, and collected by Courier. It was later lost in transit. Parcel Monkey initially said the claim was being passed on “with a view to arranging appropriate compensation.” Weeks later, they rejected it, saying “drums” are sent at the customer’s risk. Their prohibited items list doesn’t clarify if that includes electronic drums, and at no point was I warned the item wouldn’t be covered. Their system accepted the booking, the declared item, and my payment for protection—then refused to honour the claim. Courier confirmed the parcel is lost, but no detail has been provided on how or why. I’ve asked for escalation and contact details for their complaints or management team, but have yet to receive any meaningful response. The lack of transparency, unclear policies, and poor customer support have been extremely disappointing. I’m now considering further action.

Waited in for collection all day, received an email circa 3 pm saying had been collected - it hadnt - got UPS to chase it, eventually got it collected next day having waited in again. Parcel now stuck in Italian customs - could I raise anyone at Parcel Monkey to talk to? - not a chance! 2 weeks after collection I am still trying to get it released from Italian customs via help from UPS. Got an email saying the dimensions required a surcharge- i personally wrapped and packed and measured and know this is not correct, but dont care any more - just want the process to stop. All they can do wrong now is not be able to return it to me to send via another carrier or simply lose the parcel or not refund the carriage and surcharge. It cant get any worse service than I am getting. My Advice? Dont use Parcel Monkey.

Worst customer service I’ve received in a long time! When I finally managed to log a support ticket after their website was playing up, the person I spoke with was incredibly unhelpful and seemed to purposefully ignore and misinterpret my plea for help. So disappointed would not recommend and won’t be using again. Save yourself the hassle and book with a courier direct!

Having used Parcel Monkey for years with very few issues - my previous reviews have all been extremely positive - I feel absolutely let down this time. Having sent a parcel to USA I received a message from the customer to say it hadn’t arrived. There was a photo of a front door which she said she did not recognise and was not hers. To cut a very long story short ( to include a huge amount of messages) Parcel Monkey agents just kept sending more messages - there was absolutely no continuity with them, I got nowhere and I ended up paying another postal charge and sending the customer a replacement. I lost over £75 through this. Never again

The cost was excellent in comparison with the post office. the tracking system was very good. The parcel arrived in Qatar very quickly but sadly the onward journey to my family from the customs there was poor. No blame to dpd as its passed to another company when it arrives in country.

Parcel wasnt picked up and they lied that they were told not to pick up ,only when I followed up and complained about it thats when the Courier got involved to sort it out .Should have received the parcel by now but still havent received it .Pick up has been rescheduled again in 3 more days.Had no communication at all with them.

Failure to deliver a statutory return to the retailer. It cost an expensive £20 for return a backpack. I was going back and fro between parcel monkey, UPS and the retailer in Germany with no resolution in sight; each party passing the blame. Over 3 months (since 26 November 2024) have passed and the retailer isnt able to accept return to process a refund in at case. At the time of writing (18 March 2025) it seems in addition to the £20 I have paid parcel monkey implied I have to pay extra to have it shipped back from Germany to UK. For anyone in the UK ordering from any company in Europe, I would urge you to double check the returns policy and process. I will never buy from this retailer (Wardow ) or any retailer based in the EU with a similar difficult returns process. Both Ups and parcel monkey were both unhelpful even with the same retailer documents sent digitally and attached to parcel they did not attempt to deliver the returns and fail to fulfil the contract.
