When it comes to sending car parts, the Post Office is not always practical or cost effective especially for heavy items like alloy wheels. What is more suitable is having a courier come to collect the alloys from your home or work address and safely have them sent to the recipient whether they have purchased them on eBay or you are sending them from your business to another.

The prices for delivering alloy wheels will depend largely on the number of wheels you would like shipping and where they are being delivered to. Simply package your alloys or tyres and get a quote from the Parcel Monkey engine based on the dimensions of your packed box or pallet.
Depending on the size of your alloys, this will affect the weight and also the size of the packaging you need. Our customers often use our services to send 17" alloys or much larger ones. A 17" alloy weighing approx 7kg and packaged in a box with dimensions of 50cm by 50cm by 40cm could be sent via any of our Parcelforce or DHL Parcel UK services.
Now if we were to expand your order to four 17" alloys, all packed together and weighing 28kg and measuring 50cm x 50cm x 140cm we would expect this to cost more using a heavy item courier like DX or Tuffnells.

Tyres are hard-wearing so may not require the same level of protection as alloy wheels, but that doesn't mean you should take the careful handling of our courier agents for granted. Make sure any tyres you are posting do have bubble wrap and protective packaging just to be on the cautious side. If they are not packaged the courier may refuse them at the point of collection.
Tyres must be deflated to be safe to send.
There are no surcharges to distant UK destinations, including Northern Ireland and Scotland with our Express service. If the delivery address does cost more to deliver to, then you will be notified when you are in the booking process. If you are checking prices for items you have listed on eBay, get a full quote to be accurate when quoting delivery costs.
Should your customer require speedy service than we offer a same-day delivery service as well as a service for the weekend.
These premium delivery costs are generally higher, but they do allow you to provide a higher quality of service than perhaps your competitors do and we have seen people selling items like alloys and wheels in their local area using Gumtree, and saving money booking a local courier.
