The Gambia is located in Western Africa and has many trade links with the UK and the US and is a popular tourist destination due to its beaches and diverse ecosystems. The Republic of Gambia benefits greatly from having its land surrounding the River Gambia and a small stretch of the Atlantic Coast.
In terms of its land borders it only shares the one with Senegal. Its economy is derived mostly from various forms of agriculture - mainly whole nuts and oil derived from nuts. It also produces a noticeable amount of milk, cream, frozen fish, tea, fruits and fabric.
You can expect to pay around £33 to send a 1kg parcel to Gambia and up to £108 for a much heavier 20kg parcel using the Parcel Monkey Air Express service. This is colllected from your home or work by a premium courier like Parcelforce and then shipped out of the UK to your recipient in the Gambia. In the Gambia with this service it is normally DHL who make the final delivery.
You can track this door to door service using your Parcel Monkey PM order number and you can share this with whoever you are sending to so that you both follow the parcel until it arrives.
Estimated delivery times provided by our courier partners are around 4-5 days with our best priced Parcel Monkey Air Express service, whilst DHL our other option can deliver a little more quickly in 3-4 working days.
Of course courier shipping times to Gambia will vary depending on where you are shipping too. Parcel Monkey Air Express and DHL are both quick services overseas via DHL to cities that have major transport hubs like the capital Banjul. If you are shipping to a major destination like Banjul, the transit times will be quicker than sending to more remote areas.
When it comes to sending parcels to Gambia we do suggest you make contact with the Gambian Revenue Authority and also look for shipping advice regarding items that are prohibited or have restrictions placed upon them. Any customs duty will be owed by the recipient so be sure to provide the correct contact information for the recipient so that if needed the courier can make contact with them.

probably the best overseas carrier. Disptches have always got there unlike the post office
I used Parcel Monkey to send some documents to The Gambia. For £32.00 the package of 30 A4 sized documents was picked up by the Royal Mail to deliver to the courier. This was Friday morning. On Wednesday afternoon the receiver was informed the package was in the country ready to be collected and it was delivered by DHL!?!.On their website DHL charge twice that amount. I would recommend Parcel Monkey toanyone.

My first sending a parcel to Gambia and it was perfect on time, safety and price! Will not hesitate to recur to Parcel Monkey services. Thank you.
We have in the past used Royal Mail to deiiver parcels to The Gambia. They either have taken a a very long time to get there or invariably do not arrive at all. Since using Parcel Monkey all parcels have reached their destination and always within a week. Obviously it costs slightly more but in our opinion it is worth it as we know they will get there.
Great Service, Very good price, Fast and Reliable! Can't wait to use your services again. Saved hundred pounds!
