The Libyan population is estimated to be around the 6.4 million mark, and the country enjoys great wealth due to its natural oil resources. The recent turbulent troubles of Libya are well documented, however, the amount of items being sent to the country from the UK is not insignificant. Many Libyans have left their homeland and settled across Europe so a large proportion of items are goods being sent back to friends or family who still live in the capital Tripoli where the population is over 1 million or elsewhere in places such as Benghazi.
Here are some examples of prices to send a parcel to Libya. We have many options, so for a personalised quote please enter the weight of your item into the quote box below.
Libya is Africa's fourth largest country and much of the population is to be found near the coast in the North of the country, as much of the land mass is an arid desert. The oil sector creates 80% of the countries gross domestic product, so many foreigners do reside in Libya for work so this may be one of the many reasons you have for shipping a parcel to Libya.
Much of Libya's infrastructure was destroyed in the revolution but it is still possible to send parcels around the country for a fair price. Parcel Monkey aim to bring low-cost shipping to those in the UK, and so therefore if you want to send something to Libya quickly for a great price we can help.
We offer three main courier services to Libya for you to book-
The prices you can expect to pay are a little more than many other African nations in part due to the recent troubles making it more difficult to get delivery sorted.
Currently, prices start at £102 for the DHL offering, whilst our Parcel Monkey Air Express services come in at around £70.
These prices are subject to change and are correct at the time of writing.
Many of our courier services deliver to the neighbouring countries of Egypt, Sudan, Chad, Niger, Algeria and Tunisia. Of course, it has also been in the media about many Libyans crossing into Europe, where we also have extensive delivery coverage.
We now also offer cross-border delivery services from almost any country via our new global shipping marketplace on parcelmonkey.com
We have found a customs website with some useful information about shipping to Libya, however, the official government site is currently down.
THE TIME OF DELIVERY, SO QUICK. AMAZING SERVICE
Instructions are really easy to follow. No faffing about!
Good service and easy to use the website, but be warned if you dont give accurate measurements for your item they will charge your card afterwards-my item was 200g over and I was charged a full kilo extra so just be aware of this.
Very easy to use and parcel arrived on time. Will definitely use again.
More and more I had labels not clear, my postage happens on Fridays 5 pm and I end up having to wait til Monday, missing my Etsy cut off for my orders tracking notes. This error message started causing me to lose credibility points with my customers and Etsy score. The time I post, is due to a series of factors and I do not see why its so hard to have labels instantly or reply until 8pm if the MonkeyParcel service is open until 8pm. When I asked what I can do different to avoid the labels not generating, I get no reply. I mainly used UPS via Parcel monkey, my impression in the past was that they have a solid reliability. This week i spent 3 days waiting in from 8-6 for UPS to come and collect a parcel to was too large to drop off with my usual shop, according to them. Not showing up, giving me full day pick up windows, in this day and age of tech and precision it’s just not ok. I now booked RM via a different broker and they gave me the morning off from window staring, having a 4 hour afternoon slot, which is great because, I am in desperate need to get to the supermarket after being stuck at home for all those days. I think my case is made that my loyalty has run thin and I am changing providers.
