Martinique is located in the Caribbean with an area of 436 square miles, and a population of 390,371. The islands national language is French, however; a lot of the locals speak Antillean Creole. Martinique has wonderful scenery and one of its main sources of income is through tourism.
Martinique advertises itself as the island with the 'Never ending summer' with temperatures high throughout the year, and the tropical breeze and plantation make the island a remarkable place to visit for all.
Here are some examples of prices to send a parcel to Martinique. We have many options, so for a personalised quote please enter the weight of your item into the quote box below.
Martinique is one of the 27 regions of France, and the island deals in Euros, and is part of the European Union. Unlike posting a parcel to mainland France, you will need to provide Customs Documents and unfortunately, as the island is a little further away the delivery prices are higher too!
We offer discounted rates on Express delivery services to Martinique from DHL and our own cheaper hybrid alternative.
DHL Express is collected service, so all you need to do is book the courier online, choose what day you would like the parcel to be picked up, print off your shipping labels and customs documents and then you can sit back and track it to delivery. DHL advise a transit time of 2-4 days to the island.
At half the price of this and taking only 1 or 2 more days in shipping time is Parcel Monkey Air Express. Your parcel will be collected from your doorstep and transported to a sorting location by Parcelforce, where it is then dispatched overseas and delivered by DHL.
The currency used in Martinique is the Euro, as they are a part of France. However, when sending to Martinique, please select this as the island name from the drop-down list and not France, as we have seen on the odd occasion attempted by customers which could result in the delay or return of the delivery - as you can imagine it does cost more to post to the Caribbean than it does across the Channel!
You will need to provide Customs Documents on the outside of the parcel along with the shipping label. We collect this information in the booking process so be accurate when completing these documents. You should also provide a working local contact number for the recipient so that Customs can make contact them should there be any Customs Duty owed or if the courier needs to contact them.
As Martinique is an overseas department of France it is part of the EU and, hence, there are no additional import restrictions imposed by the local customs authorities - over and above our own restrictions which you will be notified of during the courier booking process.
