Although by far the most popular method of sending a parcel in the North East is to use the booking form labelled as 'send a parcel' above, a growing number of people are seeing the benefits of not waiting in for a courier to turn up at their door, whether it be at work or at home, and collect the parcel from them. Instead a noticeable number of taking more control of the process and taking their pre-booked parcels to a courier depot. For those that live or work near the depots the advantages are clear, you can deposit your parcel with the courier at a time that is convenient to you. Although they're not typically open very early in the morning or very late at night, if you commute to work or will find it easier to travel to the depot outside of rush-hour times then you can avoid waiting for a collection.
If you work in York then you can travel around the bypass to the Parcelforce depot between Nether Poppleton and Rawclife - and this depot can accommodate your needs if your are either sending a parcel within the UK or even abroad.
Recently we have also teamed up with the Post Office to allow them to do the final processing of international orders being sent by Parcelforce. This entails you booking online (again using the link at the top of the page) to access your savings and your barcoded label. You should then take your labelled parcel to your specified Post Office where the counter staff will scan the barcode and give you a receipt with full tracking information. The specific Post Office to drop your parcel off at can be specified by you so it doesn't necessarily have to be the closest to your home, it could also be one close to where you work or shop, or even on the way to anywhere.
