A growing number of customers have become aware that they have the option now to drop off their parcels at the courier's depot rather than wait in for a collection. This particular method of accessing the courier network has become more popular due to our more hectic lifestyles. Choosing to drop off your parcel at a depot allows you to take this function into your own hands as many depots are open from 8am to 7pm or 8pm during weekday evenings and from 8am to 12noon or later on Saturdays. As depots are about economies of scale there won't necessarily be on in your town or city, but most major conurbations will have one within half an hour's drive.
For Blackburn the closest Parcelforce depot is located at Bamber Bridge as this gives the company significant scope to send their parcels via HGV up and down the M65, M61 and across the country on the M65. If you live in or near the centre of Blackburn it may only take you 20 minutes out of the rush hour to get there. If you work in Preston then this may be a convenient stop off on your way to or from work, if you wanted to have an alternative route to the A677.
If you work in Manchester then you are able to use the Parcelforce depot to the east of the city centre, just off Great Ancoasts Street by the Screwfix store.
You can also use any of the 33 Post Offices in and around Blackburn to send your international parcels shipped via Parcelforce. Just simply book your parcel as you would do with the other depot drop-off options but just take it into your local Post Office with the label we will send you attached and the person behind the counter will process it for you.
