If you have either arranged the delivery of a parcel to a UK address or abroad by Parcelforce then you have the option of having it collected from your address or, if it is more convenient, you can drop it off at the Parcelforce depot to the south of the city, just the other side of Bamber Bridge and located in the middle of the M6, M61 and M65 triangle.
If you have a parcel being delivered by Parcelforce you also have the option at dropping it off to a Post Office in Preston itself or around the city such as the North Road Post office or the one on Plungington Road, Ashton Lane Ends, Blackpool Road, by the Cemetery, Greenland’s, Ribbleton etc.
As of August 2015 you can now drop off your parcels at over 2,500 DPD 'Pick-up' locations around the country - with ten within 2.5 miles of Preston's centre. The closest ones are the Aston Phamacy on Ashton Street, the Hughes shop on Ribblton Lane, the Halfords store to the west of the centre by the marina, and the Rowlands pharmacy as you head out, south west on the Liverpool Road.

The process of booking out a parcel was pretty straightforward but when it came time you drop off the parcel, 3 of the nearest options shown.on the map were incorrect. I had to drive to the 4th option to hand it over. The nearest two both refused it including a post office refusing a royal mail collection, whilst the 3rd option was no longer even there!
