How do I find an address to send a parcel to?

You may have the delivery address already, but if you only have part of the information, there are places to look. Often we'll have friends and loved one's addresses written down somewhere, but if we're in a hurry we often can't find the one thing we need at that moment. 

There are many ways to find an address- 

• Use the Royal Mail or the Post Office websites, which are certainly good for partial addresses.
• Alternatively, if you know the postcode of where you want to send a parcel to, but don't know the rest of the address, we have a look-up system in our booking process, where you can choose a particular house number at a given postcode.
• If you're really struggling, you could just use a search engine and type in the recipient’s name in quotation marks and +city and you should hopefully be able to find some record of where the parcel should be sent to.

 

What about Google Maps?

Often when sending a package overseas, the address may be a little vague. We advise that you find the address in Google Maps as this will then be recognised by the courier who may be handling your parcel. This tool can also help you shorten some addresses if you are having issues with courier character limits. 

It can help you remove parts of an address if it is too long to fit into our quote system as it will show the relevant part of the address required for delivery.

You can really remove many errors with a tiny bit of research to get a complete and accurate address, plus see where the location actually is. This will remove any headaches further along the line with incorrect or invalid addresses.
