Many of the UK's great ports such as Plymouth, Southampton, Newcastle, Dover, Bristol and Glasgow have at least one courier depot located close by, and that's no different for Poole which has a Parcelforce depot to the north of the town where the A3049 meets the A350, by the Wessex Gate Retail Park. This makes it particularly handy for customers that aren't able to wait in for a parcel, but can make a quick trip to drop off their pre-booked parcels at a depot before or after work, or even on a Saturday morning.
We have worked with both of these courier companies to allow customers to book deliveries online and receive the correct delivery labels via email (or download from our system) and then take them to a depot. With Parcelforce this process is available regardless of whether you are sending parcel within the UK or abroad.
Recently we have further extended this offering to international deliveries with Parcelforce in that you can now take your pre-booked and labelled parcel to any branch of the Post Office and they will receive your parcel from you and give you a receipt. This can be booked very easily by the system as we show you a list of the closest branches to your location. There are plenty in the town and surrounding villages.
An alternative, of course, you could simply arrange a courier to visit you at your home or work and collect your parcels from you.
