Had to send two parcels to my daughter in Worthing from Omagh (Northern Ireland) which weighed in at 15 and 12 kilos. I got a very reasonable quote from Parce Monkey - less than 20 quid. The parcels were collected the following day and delivered two days later in perfect condition. Delighted with the great service received.

Hi all, Please read the response from Parcel Monkey below! they have lost our parcel which was NEW UPVC DOORS, which cost altogether £348 and now refusing to pay for it. Parcel was posted on the 21st December and not been seen since(lost or stolen) PARCEL MONKEY RESPONSE AVOID THEM IF YOU CAN. wE WILL BE MAKING A SMALL CLAIM COURT BECAUSE THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Good Morning We are sorry that your parcel was not delivered as arranged. The next course of action would be to raise a claim however, after further assessment of the above reference, we regret to state that you are not eligible to claim against your parcel. As you did not take any protection cover against the parcel unfortunately we cannot raise a claim on your behalf. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Ive used Parcelmonkey to send Christmas presents for the last few years, and given them good reviews because Ive had no problems with the service. Unfortunately, this year has been different: of the nine parcels that I sent, there have been problems with two. One, sent via UKMail, was marked on the tracking as destroyed. A month later, Parcelmonkey havent been able get any information from UKMail and wont open an insurance claim until they do so. Another, sent via ParcelForce, arrived soaking wet and with the contents smashed. When I opened a claim and sent pictures of the damage, I was first told that the pictures showed no damage, then told that the damage shown wasnt covered because the only broken item was a glass jar and glass is excluded, then told that the (colourless) water damage visible to the other items was caused by the (bright purple) jam from the jar.... It feels very much as though they have a policy of denying all claims on false grounds until you give up and let them get away with it. I dont think Ill be using them again!

Finding information was very tricky. I asked on the chat, but I had no extra detail that I could find myself on the website. Dropping off at a DPD affiliate was also difficult as they tried to say the shipment was oversized, which it wasnt. Delivery didnt give a specific time, but only a given date. It went from AtoB, so thats positive and it was cheaper than dropping it at the post office.

Only issue was that I couldnt insure the item I was shipping. Fortunately the amplifier got to its destination on time and without any issues

excellent service and highly recommended. easy to use booking of parcels and very competitively priced. cost would have been doubled using over the PO counter/Parcel force service and my item was thoroughly TRACKED from start to delivery. i used the print at home option and after 20 mins my labels were available to print off. dropped off at local PO and they scanned it and gave me a receipt to prove acceptance. i will always now check with parcel monkey 1st to see how much.

Absolutely terrible. I organised for a parcel to be sent to me. Due to a problem with the parcel it was then marked as return to sender. Despite contacting them repeatedly for 3 months and being told - the returns team will be in touch with you very soon - only after 3 months did they admit they had lost it. They then only offered me a refund for the shipping costs and not the parcel. This has been the most stressful and incompetent experience with a shipping company. I would not recommend using them. Especially as they do not have a phone line so it is incredibly difficult to get a straight answer or help when something goes wrong. Absolutely terrible!

Their 24 hour service is in fact a 5 day service. Their insurance does not cover loss, damage or delay.

First class service using DPD drop off to Austria. Less than a third of the cost of Parcel Force/The post office! Just had to drop off at local Sainsburys.
