I can always trust Parcel Monkey to achieve the best prices for shipping and 100% reliability. The PM online interface I think could be slightly tweaked to get over some of the stubborn functionality, but I work around it.

If I could give a 0 review, then I would. I had a parcel to Hong Kong not arrive at its destination. Apparently the address didnt exist, so they returned it, tried to return it to us over Christmas, despite me telling them I wasnt in (I was prompted to tell them) and gave them an alternative shipping date (AND ADDRESS JUST IN CASE). They ignored that, sent back to the depot and then billed me (TWICE) to get it shipped to me here in the new year. If I did not pay, they said it would have to be destroyed or collected by hand (in Southampton, I am in Warwickshire!!!). Anyway, arrived in early Jan, looking like it has been kicked like an empty coke can all the way from Hong Kong. Since then I have been trying to claim my insurance for it (which I lowballed at £100, like an eejit) because the White Metal cast components inside were battered up. The insurance payment only just came through today. I have had to melt down the contents and remake them. Ive spent around £300 on shipping this thing so far. Ill be shipping with another company for sure. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

If there was a 0 I would have put that. Very disappointed. Weighed my parcel carefully, even took to Post Office who checked the weight. Paid the appropriate cost, now told my weight was inaccurate, not sure by how much, but the additional cost is £5.19 Wish I had let Royal Mail handle it then thered be none of this extra charge. first and last time I use Parcel Monkey

We did use this service for the first time for a collection is Switzerland. Price was pretty good and the website easy to us. Still, nobody showed up when scheduled for a pickup, then we did contact customer support to re-schedule and they did (without sending confirmation or anything). Again, nobody showed up. We have to send the parcel by other means.

text to confirm collection time of 17.46 to 18.46. At 19.30 no collection. Contacted customer (lack of) service who stated no collections after 18.00. They kept trying to rearrange collection for inconvenient date. Eventually agreed to a Friday. Courier came late evening on following day (not booked) and took parcel. Another courier came the day after! And jet another one two days later. Two days off work to wait for a courier that didnt arrive. Terrible service.

The good first - thee are a range of postage options and when you get through the software, the delivery is fine (I opted for DPD to send something to the US from the UK and no complaints with DPD). The bad - I find Parcel Monkey’s ordering software pretty awful. I tried to send a second parcel by Parcel Force last week and gave up. For starters I must have accidentally chosen ParcelForce48 instead of 24 and entered all my details, there is a box at the top right that shows what service you use, so I changed it to 24 and every single thing I entered was lost, I had to start the whole process again! Secondly the postcode database seems clunky and I found often puts the wrong address line in the wrong Parcel Monkey address line. From memory the postcode database correctly entered an address at number 92-94 but Parcel Monkey’s software won’t accept dashes so you have to edit it to ‘92 to 94’. Think I’m right about this. Thirdly you can’t see the cost of higher than basic insurance until you are quite a bit into the process and it adds quite a bit on. The UK parcel I wanted to send was a few grams under 2kg and 54x11x11 cms and worth £600. The cost of Parcelforce 24 came out at £30 odd with insurance. Anyway I ran out of time with the software and decided just to take it to the Post Office as it can’t cost anymore! Sure enough I was right, I sent it by Special Delivery for £12! Parcel Monkey software engineers need to try ordering themselves and tweak the software to make it less hassle, in my opinion.

Really good site, good information on competitive rates for sending parcels, very pleased with information given, and able to save considerable amount on using the best haulier, and easy to find nearest drop off point.

I arranged for a collection on Wednesday for next day delivery. My delivery was not collected on the Thursday. When I queried this the agent on live chat said we didn’t pay for a collection service and would have to drop it off. I repeatedly asked for a new collection to be arranged and they refused and said that we would need to pay more for collection or they would cancel the order. Another agent realised the mistake eventually. But were still unhelpful and said it could not even be picked up that day and would not be delivered until Monday despite paying or next Day delivery. Also you cannot call them which is ridiculous. Next day delivery took 4 days

Overall the service was good, but I felt like my options for when choosing a shipping service were confusing. Also, I never got a specific pick up time so I had no idea when the driver was coming by.

I have had the worst experience with Parcel Monkey I have ever had , avoid at a all costs, I used Parcel Monkey ( DX Fright were the carriers ) to deliver a kitchen extractor back to an on line company, the item was lost for a few days, and when it was finally found it was delivered to the receiver totally destroyed, the metal body of the extractor was totally twisted out of shape and the glass components smashed, despite the fact that it was tightly packed with cardboard and polystyrene packing, there was no way the damage could have been done unless it was thrown around, the company it was delivered to said "it looks like someone has taken a baseball bat to it" Despite having insurance, Parcel Monkey have declined a claim as it had a glass component, the value of the item was £1200, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Not Parcel Monkeys fault, but DPD failed to collect my parcel. I was home all day and the while you were out card was not left, as they alleged in the electronic tracking. A cynic would say they never bothered to call.

Dropped a parcel off at a post office and it was delivered to Scotland the following day by Parcelforce. Customer was out so returned to sorting office. Unfortunately when the parcel was collected and opened up the mirror inside was broken. We even re packaged this with a cardboard layer and padded the corners out and put fragile sticky tape around. Impressed with speed of delivery, very unhappy that parcel was damaged that I have to replace.

HORRIBLE experience. One of the worst with a company in my life. They lost my suitcase, which was filled with valuable and emotional goods. And completely ignored my pleas. First, they kept on asking for details repeatedly. After several descriptions, they finally sent a long form that I was supposed to fill within a few days. As I was busy with the moving, I couldn´t answer it in time and they decided that I had lost rights over my belongings. At some point, they just didn´t want to hear a word and stopped answering my pleas for recovering my stuff.
