It went all all well at first, DPD (via Parcel Monkey) collected the parcel on time. However then the problems started. Although the parcel was sent and marked as a private gift with low value (Used Items £ 44) (to EU) the receiver needed to pay taxes and costs (nearby the same amount of the value - 35.80 Euros) The receiver paid, but it still was not delivered. Upon contacting Parcel Monkey, the have told me, they don`t know where it is and have to do an investigation. I got several updates with no more info. After the receiver itself contacted DPD they told him to provide a invoice. I needed to explain to DPD there is no invoice as this is a gift. It had been eventually delivered but at very high cost for the receiver and around 10 days late.

The whole process was very easy to use. The parcel with the supplied labels attached was readily accepted by the Post Office and was safely delivered the next day. I can offer no reason as to why Parcel Monkey UK will not be used again as and when the3 need may arise.

These guys have the slipperiest customer service in the world. Heres part of my chat transcript (It started at 8am and its 2pm at this point in the conversation). Please be advised that we will need to wait for the couriers response regarding this matter. What was theyre response when we requested yesterday? Unfortunately, we havent receive an update from the courier yet. Do you think this is acceptable customer service from DPD? We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience have caused you. Thanks Natalie, but an apology does not resolve the issue. We need someone at DPD to act. Its Friday afternoon, everyone will be going home for the weekend soon. Please be advised that this has been brought up to the couriers attention. We will advise you accordingly once we hear back from them. Which brings me back to my question. Do you think this is acceptable customer service from DPD? We do apologize for the delay, however, please note that we are just the liaison between you and the carrier and we can only give you an update once we receive new information from them. How can I get hold of DPD. Please be advised that the a rechase email has been sent to the courier already. And we are still waiting for them to respond. Unfortunately, its best to communicate with us directly regarding this matter. The courier will just re-direct you to us as you have booked directly from Parcel Monkey. Im sorry but its not good enough. I have no information about the package. You cant tell me whats going on Rest assured that we are in contact with the courier regarding this matter. Natalie sent this I CAN NOT REST ASSURED!!!!! You are not in contact with the courier because the bloody courier isnt responding. Conversations take more than 1-way traffic. A very good service but having used PM before for overseas postage i have noticed that the customs documents printed off are a little bit faint whereas all the other relevant pieces are of good quality.
This makes one a bit wary in case the goods are returned because of poor customs documents quality.
