I paid for 3 day delivery on 5 parcels. 11 days later, not a single parcel has been delivered and no tracking information has been provided. Parcel Monkey say that it is a busy time. This isnt acceptable as now all of my nieces and nephews will be without Christmas presents from us. I am completely disappointed.

Absolutely terrible. I booked for a parcel to be picked up the next day and delivered within 24 hours. The courier didn’t come to collect. The next day I was assured that the courier would arrive by 6, but again the parcel was not collected. After I sent another message they just canceled my order instead of sending a courier. I initially ordered the 24hour delivery service on Monday 21st December, ensuring my parcel would arrive in time for Christmas. It’s now the evening of the 23rd, meaning that there is no way my parcel will arrive in time. If the person from parcel monkey hadn’t said that it would be collected today, I could have just taken it to the post office. I’m very irritated and the customer service is shocking. Now I have absolutely no chance of sending my parcel in time. Save yourself the headache and just go to the post office.

I paid for 5-10 day delivery 2 weeks ago, the item is still in the UK pending shipping. I wasnt going to review just yet in the hope the service might improve but receive constant reminders to review.

Prices are what they are - possibly excellent. Insurance is also relatively cheap compared to competitors. Sadly, Id say you might as well take any money youd potentially spend on buying extra insrance and flush it down the toilet. Itll be more satisfying that trying to get these Chimps to cough up for a lost parcel. Or burn it and keep yourself warm in the winter. They screwed us over completely a year or two ago (lost about £250, they washed their hands of it), and they almost did it again in the last couple of weeks, but luckily the parcel got delivered eventually, about 9 days later than the expected date on their website when the parcel was booked. If it hadnt been delivered, Id have had more faith in them turning water into wine for me than coughing up the value of the cover. Something important you need to know if you use Parcel Monkey: their own terms & conditions state that you must make a claim within 10 days of the expected delivery of a parcel. Basically, youd better keep an eye on the tracking, especially with international parcels. If you dont try to claim within 10 days, tough. I dont know how something like that can even be legal, but thats what it says on their website in some small print somewhere. As for the recent lost (now arrived) parcel, trying to claim when it was looking increasingly likely that it was lost was a total joke, just not a funny one. Theres no claim button or anything like that. You have to create a support ticket, where they message you (quite promptly) and basically try to fob you off. One reply I got said I had to wait for the parcel to be delivered before I could claim. Which makes no sense at all. If it got delivered, why would I try to claim for a lost parcel??? Another reply I got tried to totally dissuade me from making a claim which would have ended up putting me beyond their own rule of making a claim within 10 days of the expected delivery date. So either their employees dont know their own rules or theyre sneakily trying to stop people from making a claim for long enough so you fall victim to their terms & conditions and lose everything. Its a great win-win system for them, making money on insurance when they dont have to pay out. I had to send several messages saying I absolutley wanted to make a claim there and then and asked how to get it started. Id also recommend you take photos of the chat thread because I wouldnt trust them not to delete the whole thing and deny everything i.e. if you asked to make a claim within their timeframe and the thread suddenly got deleted, you wouldnt be able to prove that you were on their case. With the package a year or two ago which was going to Honduras, we neither got the money back for the item or money back for the shipping we paid for it to get delivered. After all that, I still use them occasionally but you have to be on your toes, check the tracking, and bombard them with messages if you think something is wrong and try to force a claim through. Even then, I have no evidence that they would actually pay out, so persoanlly I tend to split the difference when it comes to insurance. You might get £50 as standard. If the item is worth £500, I might get maybe £250, simply because I have huge doubts that paying the full amount would ever yield a reimbursement! Id basically say dont send anything you cant afford to lose. If you send something and it gets lost and it will bankrupt you if you dont get the insruance money, then think very, very careful before going ahead. Also, given everything Ive just said, Id recommend you use the best courier service they offer, wherever possible, so if they offer a cheaper price for a courier you might not trust, then there might be a bigger chance you might have to make a claim so bye bye goods and maybe bye bye any chance of getting reimbursed. You pays your money, you takes your chance. Its a bit like betting I guess. Another bit of advice: check other shipping comparison websites and see what they offer up. Especially if youre sending to some obscure country, then check our every comparison site you can find and youll likely see a big variation in both prices AND couriers being offered, so try to get a well-known international courier like Fedex or UPS for these far-flung destinations rather than Baboon Express or whatever cheapest option comes up. The price difference might still be huge, but if you compare enough companies, its likely that the difference will be less than just with Parcel Monkeys own premium service vs. economy service. I hope that advice had been useful. I hate writing bad reviews, and as I said, I do still use them. But its a gamble. P.S. Its important to separate the couriers job from PMs job. PM charge you and then maybe step in later for insurance etc. The courier, its their fault if late, its out of PMs hands.

Again a bad service. My parcel is now 7 days on the way to Germany, and still not delivered. What a joke, should be 2-3 days only. Nice one my family dont get they prezzies in time for Christmas

I used Parcel Monkey to get a parcel delivered with Parcelforces Express24 service. The parcel arrived 48 hours after sending, so the premium paid for 24 hour delivery was wasted. On contacting Parcel Monkey, I was told that the terms and conditions I had agreed to made it clear that deliveries have to be over five working days late for a refund to be issued. Parcelforces terms - delivery date is guaranteed, 50% refund if its not met Parcel Monkeys claim - "By booking Parcelforce services through Parcel Monkey, youll receive the same level of service as if youd booked direct and youll benefit from our discounted rates, so youll pay less!" Parcel Monkeys reality - "Compliance with the estimated time of collection or delivery is not guaranteed and the company shall not be liable for late deliveries unless there is valid evidence of a period of 5 working days from the date the goods were scheduled to be delivered on." The cost was certainly lower than using Parcelforce directly, but I suspect that Parcel Monkey have a nice little sideline claiming refunds for late parcels and refusing to pass on the refund to their customers.

Parcel Monkey have the best prices for parcel delivery between UK and Norway. Not the fastest but, if you are not in a dreadful hurry, Parcel Monkey gets it there.

I found parcel monkey with a simple Google search and it was the first website I visited. Having never sent a big parcel before, I really didn’t know much about prices and services, and this website helped me greatly. Not only I could enter the exact size and weight of my parcel to get a more exact result, I was also able to book my delivery straight from the website at the exact amount they showed me, so no surprises!
I would definitely recommend it and use it again.

Dreadful - I booked the DPD option specifically to avoid Chronopost as there is always a problem with them. They transferred it to Chronopost anyway. Who managed to rip off the label at the arrival depot and couldnt find my details to deliver so now they have sent the parcel back to Paris. Delivery was supposed to be 2-5 days and I am still waiting 9 days after pickup...... I will be requesting either a refund or a refund and compensation.

I dropped my parcel 12 days ago and it is supposed to go to Germany, when I track it, it does show me that parcel left the UK 9 days ago and on a way to Germany. Cant find any more information. Very disappointed! My sister supposed to get it before Christmas! Probably wont happen or even lost. Dont known what to think:(

Only one complaint which could’ve been down to Parcelforce!
Parcels were supposed to be collected from home address but Parcelforce attempted to collect from depot and recorded it as a “no collection” on tracking system. We had to ring Parcelforce to collect from home address. Parcels arrived in Germany a few days later in good condition.
